India Post के ‘Free Gift’ का Viral Message: असली Scheme या Online Scam?
सोशल मीडिया और messaging apps पर “Dak Seva Gifts” के नाम से एक message तेजी से viral हुआ, जिसमें लोगों को India Post की तरफ से free gift मिलने का दावा किया गया। लेकिन PIB Fact Check ने इस message को fake बताया है।
यह मामला एक बार फिर दिखाता है कि scammers किस तरह किसी trusted government organisation के नाम का इस्तेमाल करके लोगों को trap करने की कोशिश करते हैं।
क्या है “Dak Seva Gifts” वाला Viral Message?
Viral message में लोगों को एक promotional offer जैसा दिखाया गया और gift पाने के लिए दिए गए link पर जाने का संकेत दिया गया।
ऐसे messages देखने में genuine लग सकते हैं क्योंकि इनमें India Post और Dak Seva जैसे familiar नामों का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। लेकिन PIB Fact Check के मुताबिक ऐसा कोई genuine free-gift offer India Post की ओर से नहीं चलाया जा रहा था।
लोगों को कैसे फंसाया जाता है?
ऐसे Online Fraud में scammers अक्सर लोगों को एक suspicious website या form पर भेजते हैं। वहां उनसे personal information, mobile number, OTP या banking details मांगी जा सकती हैं।
एक बार sensitive information scammers तक पहुंचने के बाद इसका इस्तेमाल financial fraud या identity misuse के लिए किया जा सकता है।
सबसे बड़ा खतरा: Suspicious Link
अगर किसी message में कहा जाए कि “Free Gift पाने के लिए अभी click करें”, तो तुरंत link खोलने के बजाय उसकी authenticity verify करें।
खासकर इन चीजों को कभी share न करें:
- OTP
- ATM/Credit Card details
- UPI PIN
- Internet Banking password
- CVV
- Bank account details
- Aadhaar या अन्य sensitive information
Fake Government Messages से कैसे बचें?
किसी भी government scheme या offer की जानकारी के लिए official website और verified government channels check करें।
अगर message में urgency create की जा रही हो—जैसे “आज ही claim करें”, “offer expire हो रहा है” या “gift पाने के लिए payment करें”—तो extra सावधानी बरतें।
अगर गलती से Link खोल दिया तो?
अगर आपने suspicious link खोल दिया है लेकिन कोई information share नहीं की, तो page बंद करें और आगे कोई details enter न करें।
अगर आपने OTP, banking details या payment information share कर दी है, तो तुरंत अपने bank से contact करें और financial cyber fraud की स्थिति में 1930 पर report करें। Cyber Crime की complaint official portal पर भी की जा सकती है।

Free gift, cashback या reward के लालच में किसी unknown link पर click करने से पहले source verify करें।
