Gwalior में बनेगा Asia का पहला Telecom Manufacturing Zone
Madhya Pradesh का Gwalior अब telecom manufacturing के क्षेत्र में एक बड़े industrial hub के रूप में विकसित होने की दिशा में आगे बढ़ रहा है। यहां Asia का पहला dedicated Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) स्थापित किया जा रहा है।
सरकार के अनुसार इस project के लिए करीब ₹5,500 करोड़ के निवेश प्रस्ताव सामने आए हैं और इससे 18,000 से ज्यादा रोजगार अवसर पैदा होने की उम्मीद है। पहले phase के लिए लगभग 170 acres जमीन चिन्हित की गई है।
24 कंपनियों ने शुरू की आवेदन प्रक्रिया
केंद्रीय संचार मंत्रालय के मुताबिक 24 global companies ने Telecom Manufacturing Zone के लिए application process शुरू किया है।
यह project सिर्फ एक बड़ी factory स्थापित करने तक सीमित नहीं रहेगा। सरकार की योजना Gwalior में telecom sector से जुड़ी 24-25 manufacturing units का पूरा industrial ecosystem तैयार करने की है। इन units में telecom equipment और अलग-अलग components का manufacturing किया जाएगा।
170 Acres में विकसित होगा पहला Phase
TMZ के पहले phase के लिए करीब 170 acres जमीन चिन्हित की गई है।
इसमें लगभग:
- 90+ acres SADA क्षेत्र में
- 70+ acres Gwalior IT Park में
शामिल हैं।
सरकार के मुताबिक investors की तरफ से इतनी रुचि मिली है कि मौजूदा उपलब्ध जमीन की तुलना में applications ज्यादा आ रहे हैं। जरूरत के अनुसार आगे additional land भी identify की जा सकती है।
₹5,500 करोड़ का Investment कैसे आया?
July 2026 में Department of Telecommunications और Madhya Pradesh Government के बीच Gwalior में TMZ स्थापित करने को लेकर MoU हुआ था।
इसके बाद Delhi और Mumbai में investor engagements आयोजित किए गए। सरकार के अनुसार इन दोनों engagements से मिलाकर करीब ₹5,500 करोड़ के investment commitments सामने आए, जिनसे लगभग 18,000 employment opportunities का potential बताया गया है।
अब telecom industry में investment बढ़ाने के लिए Bengaluru में भी investor engagement किया जा रहा है। इसका उद्देश्य manufacturers, technology companies, electronics और component manufacturers को project से जोड़ना है।
यहां क्या-क्या बनाया जाएगा?
Gwalior TMZ को एक integrated manufacturing और technology ecosystem के रूप में विकसित करने की योजना है।
इसके focus areas में शामिल हैं:
- Mobile devices
- Optical fibre
- Telecom equipment
- Telecom components
- 5G technology
- 6G technology
- Research & Development
- Testing और certification
सरकार इसे telecom manufacturing की पूरी value chain को एक जगह विकसित करने की दिशा में project के रूप में देख रही है।
Common Testing Lab भी होगा
Telecom manufacturers के लिए shared infrastructure भी विकसित किया जाएगा। Financial Express के अनुसार project में करीब ₹500 करोड़ का Common Testing Lab प्रस्तावित है, जिससे manufacturers को testing और certification infrastructure उपलब्ध कराया जा सकेगा।
Gwalior में Jobs के लिए क्यों अहम है?
इस project से केवल manufacturing jobs ही नहीं, बल्कि telecom supply chain से जुड़े कई क्षेत्रों में employment opportunities बनने की संभावना है।
Manufacturing के साथ-साथ:
- Engineering
- R&D
- Quality Testing
- Logistics
- Supply Chain
- Technical Services
- Maintenance
जैसे क्षेत्रों में भी opportunities विकसित हो सकती हैं।
PIB के अनुसार Gwalior में हर साल करीब 25,000 engineering students graduate होते हैं, जिससे project को skilled workforce मिलने की संभावना है।
Government दे रही है Infrastructure और Incentives
TMZ के Phase-I के लिए केंद्र सरकार ₹493 करोड़ की 100% funding support दे रही है। Madhya Pradesh Government ने करीब 170 acres land उपलब्ध कराने के साथ investors के लिए विभिन्न incentives भी रखे हैं।
Project के लिए एक Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) भी बनाया गया है, जिसमें Madhya Pradesh Government की 51% equity और Department of Telecommunications की 49% equity है।
Gwalior की Connectivity भी बनेगी फायदा
Gwalior प्रमुख railway routes से जुड़ा हुआ है। इसके अलावा airport infrastructure और regional road connectivity में भी पिछले वर्षों में विकास हुआ है।
Financial Express के मुताबिक Agra-Gwalior High-Speed Corridor और बेहतर airport connectivity भी इस project के लिए महत्वपूर्ण factors हैं।
क्या इससे Gwalior की Industrial Identity बदलेगी?
अगर proposed investments वास्तविक manufacturing units और production capacity में बदलते हैं, तो Gwalior की economy में telecom और electronics manufacturing की भूमिका बढ़ सकती है।
इसका असर केवल बड़ी कंपनियों तक सीमित नहीं रह सकता। Local suppliers, MSMEs, logistics companies और supporting businesses को भी इससे नए opportunities मिलने की संभावना है।
हालांकि अभी ₹5,500 करोड़ को proposed/committed investment और 18,000+ को expected employment opportunities के रूप में देखना जरूरी है। Actual jobs और manufacturing capacity project के implementation और companies के operations शुरू होने के बाद ही स्पष्ट होंगे।
भारत के Telecom Manufacturing के लिए क्यों महत्वपूर्ण?
भारत लंबे समय से telecom services का बड़ा market रहा है। अब सरकार domestic manufacturing, indigenous technology और exports पर ज्यादा focus कर रही है।
Gwalior TMZ को इसी broader strategy का हिस्सा बताया गया है, जिसका लक्ष्य telecom equipment की domestic value chain को मजबूत करना, import dependence कम करना और India को telecom products के manufacturing और innovation hub के रूप में विकसित करना है।
