Widening rift between Christian and Muslims pushing the nations towards Third World War

A simmering, decades-long conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh erupted in late September into the worst fighting the area had seen since a vicious ethnic war in the 1990s.

Skirmishes have been common for years along the front lines of Nagorno-Karabakh, which is internationally recognized as a part of Azerbaijan but is home to ethnic Armenians.

This time the conflict is different, analysts and former diplomats say, because Turkey has offered more direct support to Azerbaijan, and because of the scale of the fighting. Both sides have been using drones and powerful, long-range rocket artillery, they say.

Turkey’s direct involvement in support of its ethnic Turkic ally, Azerbaijan, in an area of traditional Russian influence, risks turning the local dispute into a regional one.

French President supports Armenia and Armenians

French President Emmanuel Macron has condemned what he called Turkey’s “reckless and dangerous” statements backing Azerbaijan in its bid to take back the breakaway region of Nagorny Karabakh.

But Turkey fired back, accusing Macron of supporting Armenia’s “occupation” of the region, where deadly fighting has been going on .

“I have noted Turkey’s political statements which I think are reckless and dangerous,” Macron told reporters in Latvia’s capital Riga during a visit to the Baltic EU state.

He also appeared to voice support for Yerevan: “I say to Armenia and to the Armenians, France will play its role.”

While Turkey views majority-Muslim Azerbaijan as its close ally and Christian Armenia as its historic foe.

Ex P.M of Malaysia justifies killing of French people by Muslims

Further in a development having far reaching consequences Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said that Muslims “have the right to kill millions of French people” for the alleged massacres of the past. Mahathir railed against France after French President Emmanuel Macron criticised radical Islam for the beheading of a teacher who had shown the cartoon of Prophet Muhammad in a class. In a series of tweets, the 95-year-old leader said that France has killed millions of people in the course of its history, many of whom were Muslim

Mahathir said that the teacher, Samuel Paty, was killed by an “18-year-old Chechen boy” as he was angered by the teacher showing a caricature of Prophet Muhammad. He said that, as a Muslim, he would not approve the killing, but added that freedom of expression doesn’t include insulting other people

Here it will not be inappropriate to recall what 138 prominent Muslim scholars have written to Pope in a letter few years ago-

Survival of World is at Stake

The survival of the world is at stake if Muslims and Christians cannot make peace with each other. Islamic scholars have told the Pope . In a letter address to Pope Benedict XVI and other Christian leaders, 138 prominent Muslim Scholars from every Sect of Islam urged Christian leader to come together with us on the common essentials of our two religious, spelling out the similarities between passages of the Bible and the Quran.

If Muslims and Christians are not at peace, the word cannot be at peace. With the terrible weaponry of the modern world with Muslims and Christians intervened everywhere as never before no side can literally win a conflict between more than half of the words inhabitant .Our common future is at stake the letter said. The very survival of the world itself is perhaps at stake.

Scholars use quotations from the Bible and Quran to illustrate similarities between the two faiths, such as the requirement to worship one God and to love once neighbor.

It is the time when religious leaders of all prominent religions should sit together to find a mutual agreed way to avoid war otherwise it will be a total devastation-A Third world war.
